It's been awhile since I've updated my blog, so here's a quick recap of the past few weeks!
Aside from teaching my two English comp courses and going to graduate school full time, I have been continuing to work on finalizing wedding plans and have been working like crazy with Justin to get our apartment renovated.
I officially have to be out of my apartment this Friday, so let's hope everything goes as planned and the apartment will be complete by then! Justin and I spent the majority of the day over there yesterday and helped Lowell and Katie. Almost everything is painted (there is just a small studio area that needs to be primed and painted) and the floors are almost finished! We are putting carpet in the spare bedroom tomorrow, but the kitchen and the living room are ready to start moving stuff over! I can't believe the way this apartment has transformed. It was a disaster when we first started, but now it's truly something we've made into a home.
Our wedding is 11 days away!!! It doesn't even seem possible. It's still surreal to me and I keep telling Justin that I don't think it will actually hit me until we are at the rehearsal. I feel like we've been waiting for this moment for so long and it's almost here! I've been meeting up with my aunt and my mom to work on decorations and flower arrangements and have been making plans for the reception and honeymoon. I can't wait to have an entire week to spend with my new husband in Chicago - it's going to be amazing! With the wedding plans ready to go, all we can do it wait for the 20th. I can't wait for us to start our lives together.
My bachelorette party was last Saturday and we had a blast. My best friend was even able to make it after everything that she has been through. (She has been struggling with illness for a few months and spent a week in the hospital with a severe infection). I enjoyed dinner and ice cream with my friends (and received some VERY interesting gifts) and then we all hung out at my friend Meredith's house afterward. I am blessed with amazing friends!
